The Ambulift Classic operates in a very restricted space, and is therefore the ideal bathing system for the smaller bathroom. The hoist is secured tot the floor at the corner of the bath. The patient can be easily transferred from a wheelchair or bed to the bathroom on the Ambulift chair with sub-chassis. The retractable arms on the chair fold back to allow easy side transfer. The chair and sub-chassis form a compact and highly manoeuvrable unit which passes easily trough narrow doorways.

The Ambulift Classic is designed to operate in a variety of bathroom designs. The Ambulift Classic M has an adjustable width chassis which allows access around the end of an island bath, and if necessary the whole unit can be removed from the bathroom. The Ambulift Classic E allows the hoist to be neatly bolted to the floor at the end of the bath.
